Analysing Magician’s Performance and Cinematic Transitions
Final Image Sequence
Transitional Models:
Model 1: Fishbone Tunnel
Using triangular geometry, lighting and shadow to create atmospheric thresholds which entice viewers past and/or through the modelled sculpture.
Model 2: Coloured Hallway
Inspired by a concept of portals transporting one into different worlds/universes with various viewing windows. Colours play on the psyche as those experiencing walk through the fast coloured light.
Model 3: Skyscraper Portal
The shapes and patterns this structure makes reflects that of the cites tall skyscrapers and buildings. The old and the new merge together as a threshold to introduce those into my spatial experience.
Transitional Model 4: Third World Urban Market
This model represents an entrance way which reflect history. The materials used look ages and worn or bought from poverty. The shadows this threshold casts is cinematic in entire through the transitional shots taken through my camera. Could also be a good introduction to touch on the themes of the past, present and future worlds of the site.
